Apr 20,  · the opening bass on that song (i believe) is louis johnson playing a musicman. this sonic depth of that bass is astounding! i have this on vinyl (bought when first released) and the whole album is great. check out simon philips double bass work on underestimation. this album was meant to be played on a high end stereo system- remember those, still got mine!
